If you are thinking it, chances are someone else is thinking it too. Here are some common questions from other students.
The 6 Modules of course content are dripped out over a 3 week period. Every 4 days you'll receive an email letting you know that another Module has been released. Allow at least an hour every week to go though the videos. Checking off the action steps may take a little longer. It may take you 30 to 90 days to get you to the end goal and get that first job. That's why I have provided you with a Roadmap. As you go through the action steps, you can check them off and move on to the next step.
Yes! The yachting industry is growing fast as more mega yachts are built every year. That means lots of entry-level jobs available for hard working people like you.
Although we can't guarantee you anything, most entry-level positions will pay between U.S. $2,500 and $3,500 per month (or between €2,200 - €3,000).
This will be negotiated with your captain when you are hired. Remember, all of your expenses will be paid, so you can save most of your salary. With experience, you can soon climb the career ladder and pay scale from there.
Yes! Most yachts will give their crew one month paid vacation a year and a return airfare. That means you can take a month to go home and see family, or you could travel somewhere different for an adventure.
In addition to that, you'll have time off in the various ports where the yachts travel over the course of the year.
You will need to take a short safety course and a medical exam. No previous experience working on yachts is required for most entry-level jobs.
Some new crew choose to take additional training to give them a competitive advantage. In the Superyacht Jobs program, we'll show you all your options so you can decide what's right for you.
